[jpnote:   from F8CSL HAM radio club manager] The man in the tent is Christian GERARD, a HAM radio operator (call sign F8BMG). The Indre Département radio club obtained a special call sign from the French Administration for the event. TM means special call; 7 was the indentification for US Forces HAM radio operators in France, and CTX was the morse code sign of the airport beacon. We contacted about 150 correspondents in France and abroad, maybe in the States  by telegraphy. They will receive a "QSL card" for confirmation. If you wish we can send you one by mail or Email. The old equipment was the one in use at the time of CHAS.  It is still operational.
